Our work spans across public art, installations, furnishings, and architectural details. In particular, our work is committed to reintroducing wood to the public realm as a sustainable and hospitable alternative to steel and concrete.

MAKE Studio is committed to implementing ethical urban interventions and embracing sustainable design practices. Through our work, we aim to cultivate vibrant, engaging and equitable spaces that foster healthy communities and strengthen the urban fabric.

OUR HISTORY

MAKE Studio was founded in 2016 by Dina Sarhane, an OAA licensed architect, and Mani Mani, an expert in digital fabrication and construction.

Dina Sarhane is an architect with a practical and academic focus on urban design. Dina is the founder and principal of DS Studio where she executes a diverse range of projects in the spheres of architecture, urban design and public space. Driven to create hospitable, welcoming, and equitable urban spaces, she works across all scales of design from the micro to the macro.

Dina is also an educator at the University of Toronto where she teaches graduate and studio classes with an emphasis on urbanism and architecture.

MANI MANI

Mani is a designer and fabricator who has been focused on advanced digital production since 2007. Trained as an architect, Mani has managed projects in construction, architecture and product development around the world.

Mani is the founder of Fishtnk Design Factory, a firm specializing in handcrafted wood products and design solutions. He is the creator of award-winning products the Bookseat™ and the Canadiano™.

Mani is also an educator at OCAD University where he teaches digital design and fabrication.
